Print Miracle Expo 2014

Kerala witnessed a mega print industry exhibition after two decades. The Print Miracle Expo 2014 held from December 12 to 14 at CIAL Trade Fair & Exhibition Centre, near Cochin International Airport, was an out and out success with participation of around 100 manufacturers, suppliers of print machines and equipment; suppliers and manufacturers of print consumables; paper dealers and other print industry related exhibitors.

The last three months (Oct., Nov. and Dec 2014) saw a flurry of activities at Kerala Master Printers Association (KMPA). The preparations for Print Miracle Expo 2014 and related events such as KMPA Print Award 2014 and ‘Print & Beyond’ International Seminar were hectic. Before the Expo, KMPA and the co-organizer Showcase held 4 Roadshows on the Expo at 4 venues in Kerala –Trivandrum, Calicut, Thrissur and Kochi and one in Coimbatore to publicize the event. A Press Conference was also held at Ernakulam a week before the exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated by BalajiRajagopalan, Executive Director Xerox India Ltd at 10.30 am on Dec. 12. O. Venugopal, KMPA General Convener, introduced the exhibition to the gathering. Y. Vijayan, General Secretary of Kerala Printers Association (KPA), released Print Miracle 20th Anniversary Special Edition on the occasion. Ashok Neelkant, CEO of Showcase delivered the Vote of Thanks.

Print machinery manufacturers and allied firms like Xerox, Canon, Monotech, Insight Communications, Proteck Machinery, ProvinTechnos, TechNova India, I-Tech Imaging, QutubImpex, Ace Finepack, First Paper Ideas, Purandara& Co.,Riso India and Aesthetic Multimedia were some of the top companies participated in Print Miracle Expo 2014. Around 20,000 people exclusively from the printing and allied industries visited the 3-day exhibition. Printers from all over Kerala from Trivandrum to Kasaragod came for the Expo. It was a rare opportunity for them to see the latest technology and machines in printing packaging fields. On the first day (Dec. 12, Friday) KMPA recorded around 3,000 visitors at the Expo. More than 17,000 visitors came to see the exhibition on Dec. 13 and 14 (Saturday & Sunday).
