Kerala Master Printers Association organized a Seminar on the theme ‘Wages & Statutory Obligations in Printing Presses’ on 5th October, 2016. The Seminar was held at the KMPA Conference Hall and led by Mr. K. V. Mohandas, former Additional Labour Commissioner.
The theme chosen in the context of the new GO (P) No. 131/2016 LBR, which was clarified well by Mr. K. V. Mohandas, immensely helped the attendees to get enlightened in the subject. Minimum wages have gone up several times, and everyone especially those associated with printing industry must be very cautious on the statutory obligations like basic pay, DA, ESI, PF, Bonus, compensation etc.
Most members of the Kerala Master Printers Association attended the Seminar, and everyone opined that it was a great opportunity to get a deeper understanding of the issue. The attendees also said that they expect such beneficial seminars in the future.
