A total of 154 awards were presented to 28 printers from different parts of Kerala at the KMPA Print Awards 2014, on December 13, 2014 during a glittering ceremony held at Flora Airport Hotel, near Cochin International Airport.
At the Hotel lobby, the award-winning entries from across Kerala were displayed for the guests to watch. The awards were on the sidelines of Print Miracle Expo 2014, a 3-day mega show conducted by Kerala Master Printers Association (KMPA) at CIAL Trade & Exhibition Centre, Nedumbassery, Cochin.
Prof. Dr. Rajendr Kumar Anayath, internationally-known expert in printing; GopiRaghavan, well-known designer of a top advertising agency; and Monylal K.P., Superintendent of Govt. Press Trivandrum were the jury members who decided awards. It was a gigantic task to decide the winners because each entry was equally good, Dr. Ananyath, the Chief Jury, said during the brief speech delivered during the function. He said it took more than 24 hours to do the scrutiny and select the deserving entries for the awards.
During the Award Night, Chief Guest A. Sethumadhavan, a renowned Malayalam writer popularly known as Sethu, AIFMP President Dev Nair, AIFMP Vice-President (South) K. C. Prakash, Pragati Offset Hyderabad, Managing Director NarendraParuchuri and Director of Print Media Technology of Chemintz University, Germany Prof. Dr. Arved C. Huebler presented the awards to the winners.
The Awards and Exhibition were organized by O. Venugopal, former KMPA President and the Chairman of the Exhibition Committee and K.P. Uthup, Chairman of the Print Award Committee, with the support from KMPA members.
