KMPA’s executive committee has decided to celebrate their Golden Jubilee (50 years) from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020, in a big way. The 20-20 year long celebrations will feature a wide variety of programmes. The association also emphasizes on the role it plays to promote quality printing in Kerala and getting the new generation acquainted with it.
The year-long celebrations would kick-start with a curtain raiser on January 4th. Other events already finalised include the Print & Beyond seminar on the future of printing on 8th February, 2020; Kerala Mudrana Puraskaram – an award for excellence in printing instituted by KMPA and supported by the government of Kerala on 25th April, 2020; and Print Miracle Expo – the 3rd exhibition and conference focusing on pre-press, press, and print finishing to be held from the 24th to 26th of April 2020. The month of June features Drupa 2020 edition, the numero uno for printing technologies. The latest edition is to be held from June 16th to 26th at Dusseldorf, Germany. The ladies forum has also been entrusted in a big way to help in planning many events, especially the Onam celebrations in September. The month of December rounds off the occasion with the valedictory function. These would go hand in hand with a variety of interesting talk shows on the history of printing, as well as cultural and entertainment programmes, which is being planned for the rest of the months.
