Government of India Apprentice Council under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship sanctioned KMPA to conduct an Apprentice Course for Printing Operator. Partnering with the Government of India, KMPA has started the Printing Operator NCVT course thus reiterating its commitment towards the endeavour in developing a new generation of skilled manpower for the printing industry.
The inauguration of the NCVT course was done by Mr. Dinachandran C. Principal, Institute of Printing Technology & Govt. Polytechnic College Shoranur on 6th September, 2018 at KMPA Hall. Mrs. Abida KA, Training Officer, RI Centre, Kalamassery was the Guest of Honour. The Apprenticeship Training Scheme comes under the Apprentices Act. 1961. NCVT Course envisages to development of human resources, which is crucial for the industrial development of the nation. Accordingly, NCVT training will be provided to 20 students this year at 9 presses under KMPA. The Training Programme will have practical and theoretical sessions. Practical session will be in any of the 9 presses for five days a week, while the theory sessions will be performed on Saturdays at KMPA Hall by Mr. Unnikrishnan Adavakkate and other veterans from various presses.
